Aimee Dassele
MS, LPC, Therapist
I commend you for taking the next courageous step in seeking out personal healing and restoration! I look forward to working with you.
I specialize in treating child and adulthood trauma, as well as OCD. I am trained in the utilization of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and have completed the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) intensive training course with an emphasis in Exposure and Response/Ritual Prevention (ERP) in treating OCD through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). I enjoy working with those who struggle with perfectionism and rigid thinking patterns, as these challenges are common among those who suffer with OCD.
I also utilize "parts work", cognitive-behavioral strategies and mindfulness-based strategies to address OCD, anxiety and trauma. I am also drawn to work with those who are experiencing religious/spiritual/faith-based challenges and/or those who have experienced trauma in these areas.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Bethany University in Scotts Valley, California and my Master of Science Degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I have worked in the behavioral health field in many capacities for the last 27 years and have been a full time therapist for the last 13 years. I am also a professional member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
