Tempest Black
LMSW, Telehealth Therapist
It is an honor to participate in people’s growth and change. My approach to therapy is holistic and person-centered. I strive to make therapy a place of safety, vulnerability, and connection. You are the expert of your life experience, and as your therapist I am glad to walk alongside you as you learn more about yourself.
Systemic oppression affects how we navigate the world and shapes our perspectives. At times, life circumstance, trauma, and mental health struggles can leave us feeling hopeless. I see therapy as a way to restore hope and be the author of our own stories. My passion is to provide space for this reclamation and empowerment.
I received my Master’s of Social Work from Arizona State University. I use a variety of modalities including narrative therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and focus on the mind-body connection.
My areas of interest include neurodivergence, relationship dynamics, LGBTQ+, anxiety, depression, and childhood trauma,
In my free time I write poetry, paint, and play board games. I look forward to meeting you!
